Historical signing of the bilateral agreement with Hungary
       For a first time in history there is an existence of a bilateral agreement on mutual exchange and protection of classified information between the Slovak Republic and Hungary. It was signed at the soil of Hungarian Parliament by National Security Authority Director František Blanárik and his Hungarian counterpart Mihály Zala on May 3, 2012. The bilateral agreement has been negotiated as a result of changes in Hungarian national legislation. During the debates both sides agreed that mutual relations between National Security Authorities are based on a solid and professional foundation. The fact, that the Slovak Republic is the first country with which Hungary has signed this agreement corresponds to the given level of cooperation. The bilateral agreement will enable closer cooperation not only among state bodies but also among private sector where is mutual exchange of classified information necessary. The agreement will also strengthen mutual cooperation between both nations in the field of security.
