CA control
Certification Authority is compulsory to notice to the National Security Authority the beginning of its activity 30 days before in accordance with Article 12 of the Act no. 215/2002 Coll. on Electronic Signature and on the amendment and supplementing of certain acts (hereinafter referred to as „the Act“). The NSA can control the Certification authority from the beginning of its activity. The NSA can control Certification authorities, Accredited Certification authorities and Registration authorities.
CA accreditation
The National Security Authority is giving a certificate about accreditation to Certification Authorities that asked for accreditation and fulfilled legal conditions for accreditation in accordance with Article 13 of the Act. Accreditation process starts by submitting an application for accreditation to which it is necessary to add following documents:
- business name, residence and applicant personal data,
- statement from companies registry (it can not be older than three months),
- statement from criminal record of statutory representatives of a corporate entity or statement from criminal record of statutory representatives of an individual (it can not be older than three months),
- public key which belongs to a private key. Private key will be used for signing of certificates which was issued by certification authority,
- result of secure audit of its activity,
- publishing of documents in accordance with the Act.
