NBU - Expired and prematurely revoked Signature policies

Following signature policies ES, ES-T, ES-C, ES-A and ES-T-UTF8 were valid to 31 December 2006. For that reason the NSA issued "Guideline on assessment of certified SW applications for QES with the usage of signature policies being valid to 31 December 2006" (pdf, 12.8 kB)

The following Signature Policies ES, ES-T, ES-C, ES-A and ES-T-UTF8 were valid to 31st December 2006.

Textual (human readable) signature policies approved for SW applications, certified to 30 August 2005

     The National Security Authority has certified SW applications for the Qualified Electronic Signature creation and verification before the approval of signature policies for the Qualified Electronic Signature. These applications use signature policies in human readable form, thus they are not in DER coding or XML coding.

     The electronic signature, created by mentioned applications in the validity period of used signature policy while meeting all conditions that are described in the secure product certificate for QES, is considered to be the Qualified Electronic Signature in accordance with the legislation of the Slovak Republic.

     Considering the real status in the field of SW applications for the Qualified Electronic Signature, particularly in the part of work with the signature policy, it was necessary to define a uniform transitional period for these SW applications.

     The certificate validity of SW applications mentioned above and also used signature policies were determined to 30 June 2007, unless the original certificate or the NSA decision indicated an earlier date.
